Huntsville-based Seabrook Solutions awarded $317 million NASA contract
The five-year deal marked the company’s first NASA prime contract in Huntsville and is expected to add 100 jobs.
Huntsville-based aerospace and defense company Seabrook Solutions recently announced it was awarded a $317 million NASA contract for Arrow's Edge, its joint venture with government services contractor Amentum at Marshall Space Flight Center.
The five-year Facilities Operations and Maintenance Support Services II contract, known as FOMSS II, will provide comprehensive operations and maintenance support for facilities and equipment across Marshall Space Flight Center, according to the company.
Seabrook Solutions leaders touted the contract award in a news release.
“The award of the NASA FOMSS II contract is a significant milestone for Seabrook Solutions and a testament to our growth over the past decade,” Seabrook Solutions CEO and co-owner Lang Sims said. “In 2014, we began our partnership with Amentum (formerly AECOM) through a subcontract supporting facility operations at NASA Marshall. Twelve years later, the award of this contract to our joint venture, Arrow’s Edge, marks a full-circle moment, exemplifying the strength of our partnership and operational excellence.”
The contract is expected to create 100 jobs at Seabrook Solutions, bringing the company’s nationwide workforce to more than 450 employees. The company will provide services related to engineering, environmental management, utilities and other areas to help maintain safe, reliable and mission-ready facilities while minimizing disruptions to NASA’s work at Marshall.
The award continues Seabrook Solutions’ longstanding relationship with NASA while expanding its portfolio of federal operations, maintenance and engineering work, the company said.
“We currently support five NASA centers as a subcontractor, and we are very pleased to secure our first NASA prime contract in our hometown of Huntsville,” Seabrook Solutions President and co-owner Craig Seabrook said.
